This one is almost too easy for me being UK based. I read a lot of UKYA, so whereas I will be including some of my UKYA faves on this list, I’ll try and feature some quirkier settings too. Let’s go travelling!
The TBR pile. Does it ever diminish? Is there any way of beating it? EVER? Continue reading “Top Ten Tuesday – Recently added to my TBR”
Top Ten Tuesday! As usual, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
I fully intend to read these books this year. I’m making a real effort to do so because I actually own some of them and my TBR isn’t getting any smaller! But others I MEANT to buy… but just didn’t. Oops. Continue reading “Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Missed in 2015!”
Released in the first half of 2016:
I think 2016 is going to be a GREAT year for fantasy, and even an better one for those of us that like darker, twistier stories.
I’m really looking forward to new books from Megan Miranda and Veronica Rossi in particular.
What books are you most looking forward to in 2016?
The top ten books I wouldn’t mind santa leaving under the tree.
Come on, now. I’ve been a good girl this year! Mostly.
I pulled these off my Goodreads wish-list, some at random, others more calculated.
This wasn’t easy- trying to whittle it down to just ten? I put a constraint on it; they all have to be 2015 releases, or gawd I would have been here through New Year trying to decide.
So here goes, my top ten! In no particular order… (quotes taken from my reviews of the titles, click the links to read them in full)
This was a difficult list to make because when I looked at what I had read this year, many of the authors were new to me!
This week it’s debut authors who have me looking forward to their second book. And this means that their writing must have won me over somewhere along the way.
As usual, TTT is brought to you by The Broke and the Bookish.
I’m not sure I can make it to the whole ten, but let’s go! Continue reading “Top Ten Tuesday – Debut Authors Who Won Me Over”
Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. It’s a ‘free’ week this week, so I dug into the TTT archives and saw this one. This looked like fun.. but then I had to trawl through my Goodreads shelves and try and remember how long it took me to read each book!
Well, here it is; books to read in a day (as long as you literally do nothing else. Just read. In bed. A book and duvet day. Yup.)
Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
Oh dear. This is a little damning, isn’t it? But there are some books that I WANT to read, but I know, in my heart of hearts, that I will probably never get around to doing the actual reading.
Some are classics, and dude, we all need to brush up on our Classic reading, right? (no? Just me?) But for things like The Hunger Games? I have no excuse… I’ve had the books for nearly three years now, but I still can’t tempt myself to read them. *sigh*
Are any of these on your list?
